In close linkage with local economic and socio development needs, the mission of Office of Science & Research Division at FSU is to support the development and dissemination of new knowledge in a national- and provincial-level research environment. We strive to establish and advance distinctive and intellectually stimulating collaborations among faculty, students, research partners, industry and clients. FSU has developed into a multidisciplinary university that has strong social influence at the provincial national level in the field of preventive veterinary medicine, zoological generic breeding and reproduction, mechanical manufacturing and automation, applied mathematics, civil engineering, literature and art, Stomatology.
Since 2001, FSU has undertaken 19 National Natural Science Funds projects, 3 National Social Science Funds projects, 9 National Spark Plan projects, 1 ministerial project, 95 provincial projects, over 600 local and social cooperative projects with a total funding of RMB 46.7 million.
To promote a disciplinary university, FSU will focus its development on featured engineering disciplines appropriate for local mainstay industry. With the mission to enhance FSU research competitiveness, the University is set to distinguish itself in the disciplines of mechanical manufacturing, industry design, ceramic materials and art, electronic appliances, boasting its development in new energy resources, new materials, resources environment and ecological projection, biomedicine, and regional sustaining economic and social development, and so forth.
