In order to take advantage of the promotional function of research on teaching and to improve the teachers' professional skills,the College of Politics and Law places great emphasis on research work. 95% of the college staff are engaged in research work. During the 2004-2006 Academic Years, 267 papers were published in various magazines, 70 of which were published in key magazines. All this has received much appreciation and has resulted in positive influence. In the past three years, the teachers from the College of Politics and Law managed to acquire ￥480,000 for their research work, directing 2 national social funding programs,4 programs from Guangdong Province and more than 10 programs from Foshan City and some lateral projects.

Brief Introduction to the Institute of Science & Technology and Social Development of FU'

Institute of Science & Technology and Social Development of FU' is a school-level academic research organization attached to the School of Politics and Law of FU', and an academic community integrating with multi-functions like teaching, scientific research, policy consultation for government and enterprise, etc.
Founded in 2001, the Institute has 8 professors, 2 associate professors and 1 lecturer, among which are 3 doctors and 7 masters. Professor Mao Ping is nominated as the director of the Institute and Professor Diao Shengfu and Ning Xinchang as the vice directors. Members of the Institute make respectively a specialty of philosophy, jurisprudence, economics, management sciences, sociology, culturology, politics, etc.
Since established, the Institute has carried out 6 provincial-level and office-level researches on social science subjects of Guangdong Province and 4 enterprise-funded projects, and some of which have been finished and some are underway. Additionally, it has published 4 academic monographs on science & technology and social development and about 100 academic papers. The Institute is mainly engaged and accomplished in researches in such domains as science & technology and social economic and cultural development, science & technology and enterprise culture, science & technology and law, scientific policy and management, science & technology and education, intellectual property, scientific innovation, etc.
The Institute sincerely wishes to cooperate with other institutes and enterprises in research in various fields and will exert great effort to provide excellent services timely as specified in agreement we will reach, for the purpose of contributing ourselves to the sustainable development of science & technology, economy, politics, education, culture and society for China, especially for Pearl River Delta.

Brief Introduction to the Institute of School of Politics and Law of FU'

Institute of School of Politics and Law of FU', the sole specialized law research organization with various law specialists in Foshan at present, has played an important role in terms of knowledge diffusion, theoretical research and social practices since its establishment in 1999. The Institute has 21 researchers, including 2 professors, 5 associate professors and 5 judges, among which are 7 doctors (who is receiving study) and 14 masters. Professor Hu Chonghan is appointed as the director and Wang Xueqin as the vice director of the Institute.
Till now from foundation, the Institute has published more than 150 academic papers, obtained 17 awarding achievements and compiled 21 books on jurisprudence; and it has carried out over 10 province-level, office-level and city-level researches on social sciences subjects of Guangdong Province, some of which have been finished and some are underway. Members of the Institute make respectively a specialty of civil and commercial law，intellect property law，economic law, criminal law, international economic law, international law, administrative law，procedure law，arbitration law, etc., and the Institute is mainly engaged and accomplished in researches on civil and commercial law and intellect property law.
The Institute sincerely wishes to cooperate with other institutes and enterprises in research in various fields and will exert great effort to provide excellent services timely as specified in agreement we will reach, for the purpose of contributing ourselves to the sustainable development of science & technology, economy, politics, education, culture and society for China, especially for Pearl River Delta.

Brief Introduction to the Institute of Sinology of FU

Established in 2001 and attached to the School of Politics and Law of FU', the Institute of Sinology is a school-level research organization and engaged in the research and teaching of sinology. It has over 10 researchers who mainly come from the School of Political Science and Law, School of Humanities and other departments of the University.
Since it was founded six years ago, the Institute has actively conducted scientific research, and published over 100 papers on scientific research and over ten academic monographs, being somewhat influential in the academic circles. Except the scientific research, the Institute has also conducted teaching activity on sinology since its foundation, and sets up selective courses of sinology open to all students of the University. Almost one thousand students have taken these selective courses of sinology, and the teaching effect is fine.
