1. Discipline Construction
The School now has a key academic direction, i.e. aesthetic culture and aesthetic education, and also has three ordinary disciplines including Marxism Theory & Ideological and Political Education, Political Theory and Civil & Commercial Law.
For the three years, the School, as the major participant, has undertaken 2 projects on National Social Science Fund, presided 4 provincial level subjects including 1 provincial society & science planning project and 3 teaching and research projects and over 10 subjects with municipal level and dozens of crosswise subjects, annually released 100 papers among which one third is delivered on Chinese Core Journals according to the standard of Library of Beijing University, and also has published 3 monographs.
2. Course Construction
It includes high-quality and School-level courses of Aesthetics, General Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Thought and the "Three Representatives" Important Thought, and constructed key School-level courses of Jurisprudence Conspectus, Introduction to Deng Xiaoping Theory and Principle of Pedagogy. And the construction of ordinary courses has also made good achievement.
