The department has an electronic information engineering program which aims to provide basic knowledge and theory at the field of electronics information. Graduates will be educated by scientific lab-based and research-based training, thus they can participate in research and development for electrical equipments and information systems, product design, product technology and teaching of electronics information engineering.

The program runs for 4 years. Graduates will be awarded the degree of bachelor of engineering upon graduation.

Main courses include:

Principles for electrical circuit analysis, simulation for circuit, digital circuit, high frequency circuit, calculating and data structure, database, the fundamentals of computer application, electrical magnetism, analysis for signal system, sensing technology, principles for microcomputer, principles for telecommunication, AI measuring, Mobile Telecommunication, EDA technology, etc.

In order to bring out qualified graduates of creativity, this program adopts the tutor system and the open lab-based education.

The department has 5 research directions, namely data telecommunication technology, display technology, data multimedia technology, data signal process technology and AI measuring technology. The total fixed assets of the research offices and laboratories of the department add up to 2000 thousand RMB yuan. The laboratory area cover more than 1200 square meters. The department has 18 lecturers and technicians, 5 of which are PH.D degree holders and 6 of them are associate professors or senior engineers.
